Vanaf 1 juli mogen cryptobedrijven zonder vergunning onder de nieuwe cryptowet <a href=\"https:\/\/newsbit.nl\/basis-uitleg\/wat-is-mica\/\">MiCA <\/a>geen Europese klanten meer bedienen.<\/p>\n<p>Dat raakt mogelijk miljoenen beleggers die nog handelen via platforms die op groen licht wachten.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-streep-door-de-uitzonderingen\">Streep door de uitzonderingen<\/h2>\n<p>Op 1 juli loopt de overgangsperiode van MiCA af. Die regeling van achttien maanden gaf bestaande bedrijven de tijd om zich aan te passen aan de nieuwe wet.<\/p>\n<p>Tot nu toe werkten veel partijen nog onder een nationale of tijdelijke vergunning, maar die ruimte verdwijnt. Wachten tot de regels vanzelf overwaaien is geen optie meer.<\/p>\n<p>Toezichthouder ESMA (de Europese Autoriteit voor effecten en markten) is glashelder. Bedrijven zonder vergunning mogen vanaf die datum simpelweg niet meer actief zijn binnen de EU. In plaats van eindeloos op een beslissing te wachten, moeten ze hun activiteiten afbouwen en klanten netjes overdragen.<\/p>\n<p>Ook een lopende aanvraag biedt geen bescherming. Wie na de deadline zonder vergunning Europese klanten bedient, handelt onwettig.<\/p>\n<p>Nationale toezichthouders krijgen daarvoor stevige middelen. Ze kunnen diensten per direct stilleggen, bedrijven publiekelijk op de vingers tikken en flinke boetes uitdelen.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wat-is-mica-precies\">Wat is MiCA precies?<\/h2>\n<p>MiCA staat voor Markets in Crypto-Assets, de eerste grote Europese cryptowet. Die legt regels op aan handelsplatforms, uitgevers van stablecoins en andere aanbieders.<\/p>\n<p>Het doel is tweeledig. De wet moet beleggers beter beschermen en tegelijk meer duidelijkheid scheppen in een markt die lang zonder vaste regels draaide.<\/p>\n<p>De wet kwam gefaseerd binnen. Sinds 30 juni 2024 gelden de regels voor stablecoins en sinds 30 december 2024 die voor de cryptobedrijven zelf.<\/p>\n<p>Daarna bepaalde elk land zelf hoelang het bestaande bedrijven nog ontzag. Oostenrijk trok de grens al eind 2025 en Nederland rond medio 2025, terwijl Frankrijk de volledige termijn benutte tot 1 juli.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wat-merk-jij-als-belegger\">Wat merk jij als belegger?<\/h2>\n<p>Voor de meeste beleggers verandert er op 1 juli niets aan hun portefeuille. Toch is het slim om te checken of jouw beurs op de lijst van erkende aanbieders staat.<\/p>\n<p>Krijgt een platform geen vergunning, dan kan het gedwongen worden om in Europa de stekker eruit te trekken.
