Volgens<\/a> Tom Lee is de recente zwakte op de cryptomarkt geen begin van een langdurige nieuwe bearmarkt, maar eerder een korte en ongebruikelijke \u201cmini crypto-winter\u201d die mogelijk al voorbij is. De voorzitter van Bitmine Immersion Technologies denkt zelfs dat Ethereum<\/a> de komende jaren kan doorstoten naar 60.000 dollar.<\/p>\n

Agressieve voorspelling voor Ethereum koers<\/h2>\n

Dat is een bijzonder agressieve voorspelling, zeker omdat de Ethereum koers<\/a> nog altijd ver onder de piekniveaus van vorig jaar noteert. Toch ziet Lee juist in die lange consolidatiefase de basis voor een veel grotere beweging omhoog.<\/p>\n

Zijn onderbouwing hiervoor begint bij de aandelenmarkt. Volgens Lee hebben aandelen inmiddels waarschijnlijk een bodem gezet, ondanks alle onrust rond de oorlog tussen de VS, Isra\u00ebl en Iran.<\/p>\n

Hij wijst erop dat markten historisch vaak juist op het slechtste nieuws draaien. Vanuit die gedachte verwacht hij dat ook crypto zich kan herstellen uit de recente zwakte, zelfs al voelde deze terugval voor veel beleggers als een volwaardige bearmarkt.<\/p>\n

Hier gaat Ethereum van profiteren<\/h2>\n

Over Ethereum is Lee nog uitgesprokener bullish. Hij denkt dat de munt uiteindelijk zal profiteren van twee grote thema\u2019s: tokenisatie en de opkomst van agentic AI, oftewel AI-systemen die zelfstandig kunnen handelen en interacteren via smart contracts. <\/p>\n

In zijn visie wordt Ethereum daardoor een veel belangrijkere financi\u00eble en technologische laag dan de markt nu inprijst. Als dat scenario zich ontvouwt, vindt hij een waardering van meer dan 60.000 dollar per Ethereum op termijn verdedigbaar.<\/p>\n

Wat het lastig maakt is dat Lee dit optimistische verhaal brengt op een moment dat zijn eigen bedrijf juist een enorm papieren verlies heeft geleden op zijn Ethereum-positie.<\/p>\n

Bitmine meldde over het eerste kwartaal een verlies van 3,82 miljard dollar, vrijwel volledig veroorzaakt door ongerealiseerde verliezen op zijn cryptoportefeuille. Ethereum noteert immers nog steeds ver onder de gemiddelde aankoopprijs van het bedrijf.<\/p>\n

Bitmine blijft onverstoorbaar Ethereum kopen<\/h2>\n

Toch lijkt Bitmine daar niet van te schrikken. Integendeel: het bedrijf kocht begin deze week nog eens ruim 71.000 Ether bij. Daarmee bezit Bitmine inmiddels ongeveer 4,04 procent van de totale Ethereum-voorraad. Dat is een enorme concentratie, en het laat zien dat het bedrijf zijn bullish visie niet afbouwt, maar juist verder opvoert.<\/p>\n

Dat maakt Lee\u2019s uitspraak tegelijk krachtig en kwetsbaar. Krachtig, omdat hij zijn woorden ondersteunt met echte allocatie. Kwetsbaar, omdat zijn scenario alleen werkt als Ethereum uiteindelijk inderdaad weer richting een veel hogere waardering beweegt. Voorlopig blijft de markt nog ver verwijderd van dat doel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
