Toch blijft de Amerikaanse crypto-vermogensbeheerder Grayscale optimistisch over 2026, zo blijkt uit een nieuw rapport.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-crypto-verandert-fundamenteel\">Crypto verandert fundamenteel<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/research.grayscale.com\/reports\/2026-digital-asset-outlook-dawn-of-the-institutional-era\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Volgens<\/a> Grayscale staat 2026 in het teken van een structurele transformatie. De cryptomarkt laat volgens de vermogensbeheerder de bekende vierjarige cycli en golven aan hype achter zich en ontwikkelt zich tot een volwassen markt.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens analisten van het bedrijf bevindt de markt zich, ondanks de recente dalingen, in een langdurige stijgende trend. Deze bullmarkt wordt vooral aangedreven door onzekerheden in de wereldeconomie.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De vermogensbeheerder wijst onder andere naar de oplopende staatsschulden in de Verenigde Staten en het afnemende vertrouwen in traditionele valuta. Daardoor groeit de interesse in alternatieve vormen van waarde, zoals Bitcoin en Ethereum (<a href=\"https:\/\/newsbit.nl\/over-cryptocurrency\/wat-is-ethereum\/\">ETH<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Er zijn twee fundamentele krachten achter deze verschuiving. De eerste is de afnemende waarde van fiatgeld. Doordat overheden steeds meer schulden maken, worden dollars en euro\u2019s minder betrouwbaar. Dat maakt schaarse digitale munten aantrekkelijker.<\/p>\n<p>De tweede aanjager is regelgeving. Door nieuwe wetten, zoals de Amerikaanse GENIUS Act voor stablecoins, wordt het voor grote beleggers makkelijker en veiliger om in crypto te stappen. Daardoor stroomt er steeds meer institutioneel geld de markt in.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens Grayscale gaat het in 2026 ook niet meer om speculatie, maar om wat crypto \u00e9cht kan betekenen. De aandacht verschuift volgens de vermogensbeheerder naar toepassingen zoals:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stablecoins voor betalingen en als onderpand;<\/li>\n<li>Het verhandelen van aandelen en obligaties via de blockchain;<\/li>\n<li>Leningen via gedecentraliseerde finance (DeFi)-platforms en het verdienen van rente via staking;<\/li>\n<li>Nieuwe infrastructuur die schaalbaar en snel is.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-grayscale-verwacht-bitcoin-record-in-2026\">Grayscale verwacht Bitcoin record in 2026<\/h2>\n<p>Eerder deze maand <a href=\"https:\/\/newsbit.nl\/grayscale-bitcoin-binnen-6-maanden-naar-all-time-high\/\">stelde<\/a> Grayscale al dat Bitcoin in de eerste helft van 2026 een nieuwe all-time high kan bereiken. Daarmee zet de vermogensbeheerder vraagtekens bij de klassieke vierjarige cyclus, die Bitcoin altijd heeft gevolgd. Die theorie stelt dat BTC meestal zo\u2019n 500 tot 550 dagen na een halving een piek bereikt, gevolgd door een lange bearmarkt.<\/p>\n<p>Tot nu toe houdt dat patroon nog stand. In oktober bereikte Bitcoin zijn all-time high, ongeveer 550 dagen na de halving van april 2024. Maar als de digitale munt in 2026 opnieuw naar recordhoogtes stijgt, zou dat een duidelijke breuk betekenen met het verleden.<\/p>\n<p>Grayscale is overigens niet de enige grote partij die verwacht dat de klassieke vierjarige cyclus van Bitcoin zijn betekenis verliest.
