De cryptomarkt wankelt, maar Ripple blijft de handen uit de mouwen steken. Volgens Bloomberg <\/a>wil het bedrijf 1 miljard dollar aan nieuw kapitaal ophalen om zijn eigen cryptomunt XRP te kopen. Dat zou de koers een boost kunnen geven, maar dat is niet wat er nu terug zien in de grafieken.<\/p>\n

Miljardenplan voor een XRP-schatkist<\/h2>\n

Ripple zou het geld willen ophalen via een SPAC-constructie (special purpose acquisition company).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Die SPAC is een lege beursvennootschap die speciaal wordt opgericht om 1 miljard dollar te verzamelen. Met dat geld wil Ripple later meer XRP kopen en een digitale schatkist (digital-asset treasury) opbouwen.<\/p>\n

Het voordeel voor Ripple is dat het via zo\u2019n SPAC niet zelf een beursgang hoeft te doen of maandenlang langs investeerders hoeft te gaan. De SPAC haalt het geld op, en Ripple kan het direct gebruiken voor zijn plannen.<\/p>\n

Volgens ingewijden brengt Ripple ook een deel van zijn eigen XRP-voorraad in om de liquiditeit te vergroten. Dat moet niet alleen de munt zelf versterken, maar ook haar rol als betaalinfrastructuur voor internationale transacties verder uitbouwen.<\/p>\n

Hoewel Ripple nog geen offici\u00eble verklaring heeft gegeven, wordt dit gezien als de grootste XRP-gerichte financiering ooit. Analisten noemen het een signaal dat het bedrijf zich steeds nadrukkelijker positioneert voor de institutionele adoptie van zijn technologie.<\/p>\n

Ondanks het nieuws zien we dat de XRP koers<\/a> een stormachtige daling heeft gemaakt. Over de afgelopen 24 uur is er 7,31 procent van de waarde afgesnoept. Maar XRP is zeker geen uitzondering, want de hele cryptomarkt kleurt knalrood. In dit artikel lees je wat hier achter schuilt.<\/p>\n

Ripple denkt breder<\/h2>\n

De fondsenwerving valt samen met een reeks overnames waarmee Ripple zich steeds meer ontpopt tot financi\u00eble dienstverlener in plaats van enkel blockchainbedrijf.<\/p>\n

Zo nam Ripple gisteren <\/a>het Amerikaanse GTreasury over, een platform dat grote ondernemingen helpt bij kasbeheer en risicomanagement, voor ongeveer 1 miljard dollar.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Door GTreasury te combineren met Ripple\u2019s blockchaintechnologie wil CEO Brad Garlinghouse bedrijven de mogelijkheid geven om hun kapitaal sneller en effici\u00ebnter te verplaatsen.<\/p>\n

Eerder <\/a>nam Ripple al Hidden Road (prime broker, 1,25 miljard dollar) en Rail <\/a>(stablecoin-betaalplatform, 200 miljoen dollar) over. Zo bouwt het bedrijf gestaag aan een hybride ecosysteem waarin blockchaintechnologie en traditionele financi\u00eble infrastructuur samensmelten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
