Volgens hem veroorzaakte de rechtszaak in 2020 een scherpe daling van de koers en het vertrouwen, mede doordat de munt werd geschrapt van grote handelsplatformen.<\/p>\n<p>De SEC beschuldigde Ripple destijds van het illegaal verkopen van effecten. Die aanklacht bracht jarenlang onzekerheid met zich mee. In 2023 oordeelde rechter Analisa Torres dat XRP-verkoop op beurzen niet onder de effectenwet valt, maar dat sommige institutionele verkopen wel problematisch waren. Ripple besloot recent zijn tegenberoep in te trekken. De verwachting is dat de SEC hetzelfde zal doen.<\/p>\n<p>De juridische doorbraak lijkt direct effect te hebben op de markt. De koers van <a href=\"https:\/\/newsbit.nl\/ripple-nieuws\/\">XRP<\/a> steeg recent met ruim 8 procent en handelaren zien opnieuw toegenomen activiteit van grote beleggers.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ripple-ceo-verwacht-overwinning\">Ripple CEO verwacht overwinning<\/h2>\n<p>Garlinghouse toonde zich strijdbaar: \u201cIk geloof dat we uiteindelijk zullen winnen.
