Dimon waarschuwt zelfs dat het eerder omhoog dan omlaag kan gaan. Een pijnlijke realiteit voor de Fed, die al tijdenlang de 2%-doelstelling nastreeft.  Hij sluit een verdere verlaging niet uit, maar dan alleen als de groei solide is, niet als pleister op de wonde van een dreigende recessie.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Markt rekent op meer<\/h2>\n<p>De markt is daarentegen blind voor de realiteit en blijft gokken op meer renteverlagingen. CME FedWatch voorspelt nog twee stappen dit jaar.  Sommige optimisten zien zelfs vijf verlagingen in het komende jaar.  Wishful thinking, wellicht? <\/p>\n<p>De mini-crypto rally na de eerste verlaging bewijst vooral dat beleggers elk sprankje hoop aangrijpen.  Bitcoin schoot even omhoog, maar dat is geen garantie voor de toekomst.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stablecoins geen grote dreiging<\/h2>\n<p>Over stablecoins is Dimon opvallend relaxed.  Hij ziet ze niet als een serieuze bedreiging voor de gevestigde orde.  &#8220;Ik maak me er geen zorgen over, maar we moeten het wel in de gaten houden.&#8221;  Een pragmatische blik, gezien de recente wetgeving rondom deze digitale valuta.<\/p>\n<p>Dimon ziet vooral potentieel in landen met zwakke valuta&#8217;s of voor wie buiten het traditionele banksysteem wil opereren.  JPMorgan onderzoekt zelf ook de mogelijkheden van een eigen token, maar Dimon ziet geen noodzaak voor centrale banken om onderling stablecoins te gebruiken. <\/p>\n<p>Banken lobbyen intussen voor strengere regels, omdat ze bang zijn dat rente op stablecoins het traditionele spaarsysteem ondermijnt.
