Een tsunami aan altcoins staat klaar om de markt te overspoelen. De SEC heeft eindelijk generieke regels doorgevoerd die de weg vrijmaken voor een golf aan crypto-ETF\u2019s. Het is zover: de crypto-markt wordt volwassen, of dat is tenminste de theorie.<\/p>\n<p>En dan is er nog de Grayscale-soap die eindelijk ten einde is gekomen. Hun fonds met een mandje crypto&#8217;s, waaronder Bitcoin en Ripple, is nu groen licht gegeven. De vraag is: interesseert het nog iemand?<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sec-maakt-proces-voor-crypto-etf-s-eenvoudiger\">SEC maakt proces voor crypto-ETF\u2019s eenvoudiger<\/h2>\n<p>De SEC heeft eindelijk de knoop doorgehakt en nieuwe regels goedgekeurd voor beurzen zoals Nasdaq, NYSE en Cboe. Weg met die individuele goedkeuringsprocessen die eeuwen duurden. Het resultaat? Een potenti\u00eble explosie aan crypto-ETF\u2019s die straks de markt onveilig maken.<\/p>\n<p>Een beurs kan nu een fonds direct lanceren zodra het aan een aantal basale voorwaarden voldoet. Basale voorwaarden, inderdaad. Laten we hopen dat het genoeg is.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transparantie en rapportage<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Fondsen moeten dagelijks open kaart spelen, en dat is maar goed ook:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Welke crypto\u2019s ze bezitten?<\/li>\n<li>De totale waarde (NAV)?<\/li>\n<li>Hoe liquide de fondsen zijn?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Het moet beleggers inzicht geven in de risico\u2019s. Of ze dat inzicht ook daadwerkelijk gebruiken, is een tweede. Blind vertrouwen is nog steeds een veelvoorkomende ziekte op de cryptomarkt.<\/p>\n<p>2. Beperkingen om risico\u2019s te verminderen<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Geen hefboomproducten. Gelukkig maar. 2x, 3x of 100x constructies zijn recepten voor totale vernietiging.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alleen spot-ETF\u2019s zijn toegestaan. Dus geen ingewikkelde constructies, maar gewoon de onderliggende munten kopen. Eindelijk iets simpels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. Markttoezicht en veiligheid<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>De crypto\u2019s in de ETF moeten verhandeld worden op markten die onder toezicht staan. Minimaal zes maanden historie is de eis. Slechts een handjevol coins voldoen hieraan. Dus verwacht geen ETF&#8217;s voor elke obscure altcoin die bestaat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>De nieuwe richtlijnen zijn zogenaamd \u2018\u2019ontworpen om frauduleuze en manipulatieve handelingen en praktijken te helpen voorkomen\u2019\u2019. We zullen zien. De praktijk wijst uit of dit daadwerkelijk het geval zal zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg ETF-analist Jame Seyffart is enthousiast. \u2018\u2019Maak je klaar voor een golf aan nieuwe spot-crypto-ETP\u2019s,\u2019\u2019 twitterde hij. Natuurlijk is hij enthousiast. Meer producten = meer handel = meer commissies voor iedereen.<\/p>\n<p>Zijn collega Eric Balchunas verwacht meer dan 100 cryptofondsen in het komende jaar. Honderd. Dat is een hoop ruis waar beleggers doorheen moeten zien te navigeren.<\/p>\n<p>Momenteel hebben alleen Bitcoin en Ethereum eigen spot-beursfondsen. Maar REX Shares en Osprey Funds lanceren nu ook fondsen voor XRP en Dogecoin. Dogecoin, serieus? De meme-economie regeert.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-grayscale-lanceert-fonds-met-meerdere-crypto-s\">Grayscale lanceert fonds met meerdere crypto\u2019s<\/h2>\n<p>Naast de algemene regels keurde de SEC ook het Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund goed. Een mandje met Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana en Cardano. Is dit het antwoord op de vraag van de onwetende belegger die zich niet wilt verdiepen in de materie? Waarschijnlijk wel.<\/p>\n<p>De SEC had het fonds al eerder goedgekeurd, maar besloot het besluit onverwachts te herzien. Typisch SEC. Inconsistentie is hun middle name.<\/p>\n<p>De toezichthouder gaf ook toestemming voor opties op de Cboe Bitcoin U.S. ETF Index. Meer derivaten. Precies wat de markt nodig heeft.
