Ethereum, op ramkoers richting de maan? Volgens Tom Lee, de oude rot in het vak, wel. Terwijl de rest van de markt nerveus knippert na de recente correctie, blijft Lee stug optimistisch. Zijn voorspelling: ETH tikt dit jaar nog de $12.000 aan. Klinkt als een sprookje, maar laten we eens kijken.<\/p>\n

Ethereum koers: 160% stijging, of luchtfietsen?<\/h2>\n

Lee, tegenwoordig voorzitter van BitMine Immersion Technologies, ziet ETH op korte termijn naar de $5.500 schieten. En voor 2025? Minimaal $10.000, maximaal $12.000. Dat zou, gerekend vanaf de huidige koers van pakweg $4.600, een stijging van maximaal 160% betekenen. Klinkt mooi, maar voorspellingen zijn zelden harde feiten.<\/p>\n

Lee hamert op het traditioneel sterke vierde kwartaal voor crypto. Die recente dip naar $4.300? Een buitenkans, aldus Lee. “De bodem ligt rond de $4.300. Nu gaan we knallen richting $5.500 en wie weet wat nog meer.” Koop die dip, zegt hij. Maar wie garandeert dat er geen diepere dip komt?<\/p>\n

September is historisch gezien een drama voor crypto, geeft Lee toe. Maar dat is volgens hem juist het moment om in te stappen. Alsof hij de markt perfect kan timen. Neem dat advies met een flinke korrel zout.<\/p>\n

BitMine pompt er flink wat in: inside information of domweg gokken?<\/h2>\n

Lee praat niet alleen, hij betaalt ook. BitMine heeft deze week $21 miljoen in ETH gepompt. Totaal: 1,72 miljoen ETH, goed voor $7,93 miljard. BitMine is daarmee de grootste publieke Ethereum-houder ter wereld. Lee wil uiteindelijk vijf procent van alle ETH in handen krijgen \u2013 6,35 miljoen munten. Ambities genoeg, maar waar haalt hij het geld vandaan?<\/p>\n

Daarvoor wil BitMine het aandelenprogramma uitbreiden naar $24,5 miljard. De aanvraag bij de SEC is ingediend. Niet iedereen is enthousiast: het aandeel BitMine zakte meer dan zeven procent in elkaar uit angst voor verwatering. Een signaal dat de markt Lee’s plannen niet blindelings vertrouwt.<\/p>\n

Kapitaal vlucht van Bitcoin naar Ethereum: is het echt zo simpel?<\/h2>\n

Volgens on-chain analist Willy Woo vloeit er net zo veel kapitaal naar Ethereum als naar Bitcoin. Dat zou begonnen zijn toen BitMine zijn aankopen opvoerde. Correlatie is geen causatie, meneer Woo.<\/p>\n

Deze verschuiving zou een bredere marktrotatie inluiden: van de grote jongens naar altcoins, met Ethereum als de nieuwe messias. Lee krijgt bijval van andere analisten. Maar laten we eerlijk zijn, in de crypto-wereld roepen de goeroes elkaar graag na. Neem al die koersdoelen met een flinke dosis scepsis. Ethereum heeft potentie, maar een garantie op succes is het zeker niet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
